2005 NCAA TSB Anyone?

Postby ihatejddrew on Wed Aug 02, 2006 10:16 pm

I want to create the ultimate NCAA TSB game.....but I need some serious help. Some of the guys on this message board are pros at changing helmet designs, uniform colors, team names, schedules, etc.......I have no idea how to do any of this. However, I can do all of the research for 28 college teams of rosters, uniform numbers, player race, and player ratings. People actually pay me to follow football and I have unlimited access to media guides, pictures, historical data, you name it. Email me if you are interested and I'll send you files of USC and Texas 2005 data. We could collabarate for a 2005 NCAA TSB Game, or you could tell me that my ratings suck and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Either way, the info is helpful.

Tools to modify the ROM:
1. TSBM 1.3
2. TSBTool
3. Helmet Editor

Check out the Uploads Section and I'm sure that you can find an older NCAA ROM to modify.

i don't mean to be a jerk...but forget about this...instead, just get on kingsoby1's case about this (his is supposed to have all div 1A teams)...he's been 'working' on it forever!!!!

(soby, what is the status on this thing anyway?)

The Tecmo Championship Series is rediculous. Soby, if I sent you info for 28 teams, would you use it?

If 2005 NCAA TSB is already good to go, what about 1956 NCAA TSB?

How about an ultimate NCAA TSB with 1964 Bama against 1945 Army, or 2005 Texas against 1980 Georgia?

What game out of the three would get the most play out there?

A big help would be to send him players names, stats, jersey numbers, and race. It would be a bigger help to put these on a rom using the tools above. From there Soby or someone else will change the rom attributes and then someone from there will change the colors and helmets, assuming you don't use one of the Rose Bowl roms out there. (See the download section here or http://www.tecmosuperbowl.com for more information on Tecmo Rose Bowl)

I can do that Rod. I like the ultimate NCAA TSB idea. Here are the teams I will get rosters, race, numbers and data on:

1959 Syracuse
1945 Army
1958 LSU
2005 Texas
1956 Oklahoma
1949 Notre Dame
1963 Navy
1964 Alabama (1979 instead?)
1947 SMU
1972 USC (2004 instead?)
1994 Penn St.
1976 Pittsburgh
1999 Florida St.
1996 Florida
1983 Auburn (1957 instead?)
2001 Miami
1995 Nebraska (1971 instead?)
1968 Ohio St.
1952 Michigan St.
1960 Minnesota
1951 Tennessee
1966 Purdue
1998 Wisconsin
1953 Maryland
1948 Michigan (1997 instead?)
1999 Virginia Tech
1938 TCU (1935 instead?)
1956 Texas A&M

Someone let me know if I've missed a school that NEEDS to be represented or if I've completely got the wrong year for one of the schools listed.

Also, back in the one-platoon era, they played 5-3-3 defenses......no way to change the 3-4-4 TSB defenses, right? I'll just move a LB to S and the MG to ILB then.....

Offenses played 2 HB, a FB and 2E......I'll switch a HB to WR, and play the biggest E at TE......

I'd like to request a historically crappy team to go into the ROM also (for a challenge). Or maybe just leave the Patriots untouched.

It's a coinflip between the 71 and 95 Nebraska teams considering they both rank among the top college teams ever.

If you can get me full individual and team stats of every NCAA d1-A team, i will kiss you in the most manly way possible.

By "full", I mean:

- Individual Defensive stats, including tackles, pass deflections, ints, sacks
- arranged in an easily transferable-to-spreadsheet file... or in a spreadsheet already

That would rock my socks off, and I would probably be able to finish one conference per day starting on August 22nd.

I wouldn't say TCS is a bad league -- it's got great owners and big College FB fans... but the rom is fake players, which I dont like.

Soby, this is what I can do.....

I'll have every Division I-A football media guide by September 1. I can email you PDF files of every school's complete 2005 team and individual statistics, including all defensive stats and game-by-game starters, if that helps with the rosters. Does that work?

Rod,

Here's the question that will settle the Nebraska debate, would you rather play with Tommy Frazier or Johnny Rodgers?

Was Ahman Green the starter or the backup on that 95 squad?
